You may ask, “How do I get rid of the pain”?  We say acknowledge it, embrace it; know that under this pain is hurt, under this hurt is fear; the fear of being unloved, the fear of being alone.  Come to terms with yourself, you are never alone; if you are, it is by choice.  If such is the case, then we say socialize with the rest of the world.  Take yourself out of your cave of solace and enter the realm of the living, whatever that may be for you; but, it must be done physically outside of your cave or shelter.  It can be something simple like taking a walk, visiting a friend, going to the zoo, a circus, an amusement park, a shoe store, window browsing/shopping, visiting a museum, art gallery, attending a lecture; anything involving taking yourself out of your home and walking amongst society, having fun, experiencing enjoyment and a breath of fresh air.  Well, that’s a start and if you can do this at least twice a week, you’ll feel less isolated and ahead of the game.
